New Beginning

Start of a New Year

The Meadowbrook FFA is ready to take on another exciting year. The chapter is led by their officer team of President Abby Dudley, Vice President Miranda Miser, Secretary Andrea Kackley, Treasurer Chris Stevens, Reporter Carrie Waers, Sentinel Kelsey Watson and Student Advisor Zack Patterson.  Under the leadership of their officers, the chapter is poised to take on another year full of competition, learning and fun!

The chapter had a variety of SAEs (Supervised Agricultural Experiences) that they displayed at the fair. Those ranged from steers, goats, dairy feeders, pigs, lambs, rabbits and chickens.  The Meadowbrook FFA also be participated in the Royalty Parade on Monday night of the fair with the theme, “It ain’t where, it’s how you live”. In addition, the chapter had members on the royalty court with Miranda Miser placing in the Top 5 for queen, Kaitlynn Stillion as Girl Ambassador and Erica Showalter as Girl Ambassador Runner -Up.

The chapter also plans on partaking in many career development events this year and hoping to excel, as they have done previously. These events range from public speaking, job interview, soil judging, forestry judging, livestock judging, parliamentary procedure etc. With Andrea Kackley receiving second at state in the FFA Creed speaking contest, last year she will be competing in the Eastern States Exhibition Fair (The Big E) this September.

With the calendar in place and the events scheduled, this year should be an exceptional one!
