On October 19, 2011, students from
the Meadowbrook FFA Chapter attended the 84th annual National FFA Convention.
There were nineteen kids in attendance for the four day event. Every year
several members travel to Indianapolis,
Indiana for the convention. This
year was packed with many educational experiences. The students listened to
guest speakers, attended sessions, and participated in leadership workshops.
There is always some fun activities on the itinerary too of coarse. On the way
there they visited an antique museum near Circleville,
Ohio. The members saw Blake
Shelton, Steel Magnolia and Little Big Town in concert on Thursday night. The
next night they attended Three Hills World's Toughest Bulls and Broncos event.
Saturday morning before heading home, they attended the eighth session to watch
as Dawna Bebout recieved her American FFA Degree. Dawna worked very hard and
spent many hours working towards achieving this degree. Convention is a great
way for students to get involved and really learn what FFA is all about. |
